relatedsites — design directions

Five placeholder design directions for the "find sites like X" home page. Each is a stand-alone HTML mockup; pick one to develop further.

  1. 01
    Minimal Search

A single search box, nothing else. Fast TTFB, no chrome. Borrows from early Google and DuckDuckGo. Defaults to keyboard-first.

  2. 02
    Card Grid

Modernized SimilarSites: a grid of result cards with screenshot, name, one-line description, and category chip.

  3. 03
    Encyclopedic

Wikipedia-feel: neutral typography, dense text, a table of contents, internal links everywhere. Optimizes for skimming and SEO.

  4. 04
    Terminal / CLI

Monospaced, keyboard-driven, prompt-style query. Plays well with the indie-hacker / dev audience and the public-API surface.

  5. 05
    Magazine / Curated

Editorial-feel like Are.na or Kottke: opinionated curator voice, large typography, hand-picked topic hubs above the fold.
